Genoa Brignole Station (36.73 km) -
Genoa Brignole Station is the main station for destinations along the Liguria coast, including the Cinque Terre. It also serves national destinations and the Genoa airport bus departs from the piazza in front of the station.
Genoa Trade Fair (36.58 km) -
Genoa Trade Fair (Fiera di Genova) is Liguria's premier exhibition space. Attractively located by the Ligurian Sea, the Fiera will house this year the International Nautical Fair, Technofolies fun industry trade event and Natalidea traditional Christmas fair amongst others.
Sampdoria and Genoa football stadium (36.80 km) -
The Stadio Luigi Ferraris is home to the Italian football teams Sampdoria (Serie A) and Genoa (Serie B). Games are played most Sundays during the football season, and the 40,000 capacity means that tickets are usually fairly easy to come across (depending on the opponent).
Portofino Lighthouse (21.39 km) -
For fantastic views across the Ligurian coastline, take a stroll out to peaceful Portofino Lighthouse. On the way to the lighthouse from the pretty fishing village of Portofino, you pass the Castello Brown, which houses a photo exhibition of various celebrities that have visited Portofino and occasional temporary exhibitions.
Blue Path (5.89 km) -
The Cinque Terre are five stunningly-located villages on the Liguria coast. All five are linked by the Percorso Azzurro footpath, which is more difficult in some places than others. The easiest stretch is the Via dell'Amore (Lover's Lane) from busy Riomaggiore to colourful Manarola. The path then climbs slightly towards the cliff-hugging Corniglia, followed by the fairly manageable stretch down to the picturesque promontory of Vernazza. The last stretch towards Monterosso al Mare is the hardest, with a steep climb and descent. Apart from walking, the Cinque Terre are also a good spot for diving, fishing or enjoying some of the local wine.
European Dive-In Centre (22.49 km) -
As a 5 star PADI diving resort, the European Dive-In Centre in Santa Margherita Ligure offers a range of PADI courses from beginner level to advanced. Both adults and children can dive in a range of sites, including the Monhawk Deer wreck, and Cristo degli Abissi, the most famous dive site in the Mediterranean.
